High 5 Netball Festival results - Forest Heath Primary Schools Sports Associations

school games

Paddocks Primary School in Newmarket added the title of U10 Netball champions to their list of achievements in 2012/13 by winning the inaugural Forest Heath Primary Schools Sports Association High 5 Netball Festival, held at Scaltback Middle School last night.

High 5s is a modified form of netball in which five players are on court at any one time and they rotate positions - including that of timekeeper and scorer - during the competition.

The nine participating schools were placed into groups of three where they competed in a round-robin format. At the end of the group stages the winners of each group were placed in to a separate group, as were those placed second and third. Each team then had two further matches to determine their final position. Ultimately Paddocks won each of their fixtures, defeating Beck Row, Laureate, Lakenheath and Tuddenham and were crowned champions after conceding just one goal in reply to the 13 scored.

The final positions were as follows:

1. Paddocks (Newmarket)

2. Lakenheath

3. Tuddenham

4. Great Heath (Mildenhall)

5. All Saints (Newmarket)

6. Beck Row

7. St Louis

8. Moulton

9. Laureate (Newmarket)
